The Chime Hours is a mixed reality experience designed by Lord Whitney. I interned with Reflex Arc as a VR designer, creating VFX and a forest environment that matched a real-world warehouse.

⌨ DEVELOPMENT
As a VR designer, I created performant VFX using Unreal Engine's materials and Niagara particle system. I worked with Richard England at Reflex Arc to develop a surreal forest environment.
During the project's three day live runs at Testbed in Leeds, I helped run the tech by setting up VR headsets and managing audio on the final day.
The biggest challenges of the project were keeping the virtual environment in sync with the real-world warehouse and preventing participants from running into each other. We used a 3D model of the warehouse to create a forest that matched the physical size of the space and created effects to represent the participants.
