216 Below is a VR submarine experience being developed by Guy Schofield and David Gochfeld. I interned as a 3D Modeler and Motion Capture Technician, creating 3D assets for 216 Below and managing tech on a motion capture theater production.

3D models

As a 3D modeler, I created a variety of rusty/grimy 3D models including two boats, household appliances, airport runway lights, scrap metal, and more. I modeled and textured using Blender and Photoshop. As 216 Below is a standalone Quest 2 experience, these assets had to be efficient. I learned correct topology practices, UV/normal maps, and lots of useful tricks for efficient modeling/texturing.

Working with David Gochfeld on the motion capture theater project, I recorded motion capture and facial tracking data and mapped it live onto Unreal Engine's Metahumans and a character created by Marco Ng at Overworld Games.
